Meggy Wang was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan to immigrant Taiwanese parents. She grew up in a small town south of San Francisco and is presently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she is working towards an MFA in fiction-writing at the University of Michigan.
Q Do you love Nirvana as much as you did when you were 14?
A I danced to "Scoff" in my living room today.
Q What is your novel about? And is it true that you threw away 250 pages of your first one?
A A brother and his adopted sister in 1970s gold country, California. I'll share the interesting bits when I've finished the first draft. And the answer is yes.
